Love is Sweet

The smell of LOVE is in the air and maybe because we are about a week out until that very special holiday called Valentines Day.  I came across these amazing photos on Gabriel Ryan's Blog that he photographed  with many talented artists in the wedding industry.  Enjoy a very special evening with your loved one or create a "Single Awareness" Party with a group of girlfriends over some champagne and bottles of wine. You can be very creative with something over the top or just create a very chic and simple gathering by adding touch of flowers, candles and sweets. Either way love is being around loved ones and friends and of course, Love is Sweet.

New Year's Eve Wedding

I guess we should start off by saying Happy New Years! We started off New Year's Eve with an amazing wedding with an awesome couple. With Christmas and New Years creeping up, we had possibly one of the biggest wedding we've been working on by far! Kristy Van Doren & Roy Batson came to us because their wedding date was fast approaching and they still haven't finalized much of their wedding details. Kristy (we love you!) had a bunch of ideas on how her perfect wedding would be. She has been in over 15 weddings and knew exactly what she wanted and wanted nothing less! By the way, for those of you who may be familiar, Kristy Van Doren is the grand daughter of the founder of VANS shoe company and her Father is Steve Van Doren which is still very much involved with VANS. The biggest thing that Kristy wanted was to have a Winter Wonderland Themed wedding. So here's an inspiration board we made for her:

WISE-LA Women of the Year Dinner

Chic & Stunning was honored to be apart of a very special night for the WISE-LA Women of the Year Dinner, that was held at the Sheraton in Downtown Los Angeles. Sarah Speirs is on the Board of Directors for the LA Chapter and when Sarah asked us if we would be interested in helping or donating with their floral centerpieces we were thrilled to be apart of such a wonderful organization. WISE is the leading resource for women in the sports & events industry. Their vision empowers WISE to celebrate and connect emerging and established women leaders, to promote one another in career growth and continue to change the face of the industry. Celebrity Wedding - Prince William and Kate Middleton are engaged!

Every girl dreams of being a princess one day. Kate Middleton, who has been dating Prince William for 8 years, is truly going to be a real life Cinderella story when she marries the Prince some time next year. Prince William proposed to her with an 18-carat oval sapphire surrounded by diamonds. Not your traditional engagement ring but it has significant meaning since it was his late mother's engagement ring.

I couldn't help but wonder, what kind of wedding a princess in training would want?  What kind of dress would she wear?  What about her flowers?  No doubt it will get just as much, if not more publicity than Prince Charles & Princess Diana's wedding back in 1981.  Nonetheless, I am looking forward to seeing pictures of their wedding.  Congrats to the both of them!
