WISE-LA Women of the Year Dinner
Chic & Stunning was honored to be apart of a very special night for the WISE-LA Women of the Year Dinner, that was held at the Sheraton in Downtown Los Angeles. Sarah Speirs is on the Board of Directors for the LA Chapter and when Sarah asked us if we would be interested in helping or donating with their floral centerpieces we were thrilled to be apart of such a wonderful organization. WISE is the leading resource for women in the sports & events industry. Their vision empowers WISE to celebrate and connect emerging and established women leaders, to promote one another in career growth and continue to change the face of the industry. Celebrity Wedding - Prince William and Kate Middleton are engaged!
Every girl dreams of being a princess one day. Kate Middleton, who has been dating Prince William for 8 years, is truly going to be a real life Cinderella story when she marries the Prince some time next year. Prince William proposed to her with an 18-carat oval sapphire surrounded by diamonds. Not your traditional engagement ring but it has significant meaning since it was his late mother's engagement ring.
I couldn't help but wonder, what kind of wedding a princess in training would want? What kind of dress would she wear? What about her flowers? No doubt it will get just as much, if not more publicity than Prince Charles & Princess Diana's wedding back in 1981. Nonetheless, I am looking forward to seeing pictures of their wedding. Congrats to the both of them!

Black & White Wedding
Halloween is just around the corner and this year it falls on a Sunday. Perfect day for a wedding! But just because it's Halloween, it doesn't mean you have to have a Halloween themed wedding. Black and white is extremely popular right now and when done right, it will resemble nothing like pumpkins, ghosts, and spider webs. ;)
These flowers called anemone (not to be confused with sea anemones) are perfect to tie in the black and white theme. Anemones look so beautiful on it's own that you really don't need anything else to fluff up your bouquets or centerpieces.

Not only today is a beautiful day for a wedding but the actually date only happens every 100 years. Every 100 years, the “perfect day” to get married rolls around. It is estimated that over 25,000 brides have decided to make this unique day their day to wed. Many Weddzilla couples are tying the knot on this special day too.

Weddzilla surveyed couples getting married today and found the following:
- 67% of couples planned to get married on 10/10/10 over 2 years ago
- 21% of couples said they did it because it was the perfect day
- 43% of couples said they wanted to marry on 10/10/10 because it was easy to remember
- 1% of couples said they didn’t realize it was such a special day until after they picked the date
- 38% of couples were getting married at 10 am, 10 pm or at at a time with :10 in it
